New in 2022 and Beyond!
From the beginning, the Magic Valley Kid Market has wanted to provide business learning opportunities for children within our community. As part of our expansion in 2022, we added educational classes-taught by experienced personnel in our neighborhoods, as well as business tours that will happen throughout the year. We are so excited for these opportunities and hope they bring important information and fun experiences to your children. Here is a list of the events we have already hosted or are planning to host.

Upcoming Events:
On May 10th at 4:30pm, we will be meeting with the Department of Health to discuss food safety and ensure that all vendors have the appropriate information and permits to safely sell food items. We highly recommend all participants who plan to sell food items to attend this meeting!
Our next business tour will be to Ward Orthodontics on June 23rd at 10am. This tour is limited to only 18 children, so make sure you sign up soon.**
Past Events:
In 2022, we had 4 business classes including a business planning session, marketing class, basic cost analysis demo, and logo creation and branding exercise. We also visited several businesses including My Ice Cream Roll, Rinard Media, Hands On, and Driscoll Farms. Each of these opportunities have brought a greater understanding of real world businesses, how various industries run and how they pivot in times of trial and changing supply chains. Thank you to everyone who has made these events possible and for allowing us to come see your businesses.

2023 has started with a bang as we went to PYE Games in February for a business tour of their unique 3D Printing game and toy business. It was our most well attended tour to date and we had a blast! Thank you Paul and Kristi for your generosity and for sharing your story.
On April 20th, we had the amazing opportunity to go to Summit Dental to learn all about what it takes to become a dentist and how to create a successful practice. We got to learn about making crowns, why taking care of our teeth is so important and many of the skills and jobs available in this field. Thank you Dr. Barfuss, Dr. Permann and staff for showing us around! Other events this year include a basic tax prep class and a business tour to Redeemed Decor. Watch for more details as they become available.*
